A Review of Honda City


The first Honda City was launched in the year 1998 and from that period lots of changes has been brought into this car. Honda City Corporate MT is the basic variant with common features such as fuel consumption display, fabric black seat upholstery, power windows, steel wheels and many other qualities.

Honda City is one of the best cars that are sold in C+ section. The Honda City is a splendid sedan car which has ruled in its section for more than a decade. In India, the first Honda City was launched in the year 1998 and from that period lots of changes has been brought into this car. Honda City Corporate MT is the basic variant with common features such as fuel consumption display, fabric black seat upholstery, power windows, steel wheels and many other qualities. It is safe as other high-end city variants with ABS-EBD, G-CON and dual-front SRS airbags. Honda City E MT has got a sliver center AC knob, beige seat material, integrated audio system with the front speakers, speed volume, steel wheels, aluminium finish in central console panel and much more.

The S MT variant of this sedan offers some extra add-on features distinct from the basic and E MT variants. It has 5 spokes alloy wheels, silver finish steering panel with escalated audio controls, chrome center AC knob, wireless audio remote control, driver seat height adjuster, key-less enter with answer back, chrome plated hand brake knob and much more. The V MT variant featured with front fog lamps, 10 spoke alloy wheels, ORVM with turn indicators, cruise control, exhaust pipe finisher, tweeters, silver door switch panel, front seat back pockets, chrome inside door handle and much more.

The V AT carries the similar specifications and features like V MT apart from the automatic transmission integration. The AT variant delivers lower mileage than the MT variant as it has extra weight than MT variant. V MT / AT Sunroof is the high end model, as it adds the sunroof to it. Hence, the cost is also higher than the V MT. The CNG variant Honda City comes with a same 1.5 Liter 4 cylinders with 16 valve drive train from the petrol variant have been preserved, but the suspension is altered to switch the extra weight of the CNG Kit. Honda City CNG comes with BA, ABS and dual airbags. Honda City 1.5V leather has Audio Visual Navigation that comes with Bluetooth, touch screen, DVD player, USB/ auxin/ iPod connectivity, leather wrapped gear shift knob and leather upholstery.

The Honda City i-VTEC with Electronic Fuel Injection technology offers high engine performance with better fuel economy. The mileage company claims 16.8 kmpl for manual transmission and for automatic transmission, it is 15.6 kmpl.
